Corporations and business owners are turning to AI to cut cost of operations, which is leading to more people being expendable as employees. The object behind this great employee replacement is for businesses to save money on payroll since they do not have to pay actual people for the work they do. Such as self-checkout at retail stores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Others who benefit from extreme profit are shareholders, people who invest in companies to get a share of the profits. But those profits come from the productivity of the workers who do the actual work. Apparently, neither business owners nor investors have considered the future aftermath but are only reveling in the profits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because of the greed of businesses to gain more profit, they are turning workers into the streets. And unless more workers understand the power of AI in the workforce, and are trained to compete, millions of people will face unemployment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to \u201ca 2013 University of Oxford study found that 47% of US jobs could be eliminated by AI over the next 20 years<\/strong><\/a>, and that generative AI tools could, in fact, impact 300 million full-time jobs worldwide, which could lead to a “significant disruption” in the job market.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n In an unwittingly sophisticated and brainless effort to get rich quick, corporations are going to cut their own noses off despite their face. Are rich people smarter you may ask? Not entirely. They are wealthier, but that wealth will eventually run dry when they are no workers to help produce the riches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
