The Black parents who are victims of this dumbness must be specifically chosen by the school administration who they know are not a threat, because if they were to cut the hair of a random Black child, a no-nonsense Black parent would absolutely NOT allow this to happen without a serious (violent, physical and verbal) backlash.

No one has the right to touch, let alone cut, a child’s hair at all and especially without contacting the parent first. This is a blatant show of Jim Crow type bigotry and should be treated with serious legal action.

Furthermore, what is the problem with white folks and Black hair? It is understandable that schools and businesses have dress codes and policies against certain hair styles, (color, length, or hygienics), but style and texture is ridiculous because different ethnic communities have, by nature, different hair styles and texture.

And the fact this situation went from the school administration to the courts, and ruled against by a judge, pinpoints how ignorant and petty this nation will go with their bigotry and hate. It says school officials are incapable of solving the smallest matters and that the justice system is stuck in the 1930s in their hate for Black people.

“A judge in Texas said Thursday that a school’s suspension of a Black teenager because of his dreadlocks does not violate the CROWN Act, which forbids racial hair discrimination.”

“CROWN stands for Creating a Respectful and Open World for Natural Hair. As of June 2023, 23 states have enacted the legislation. Texas passed its own CROWN Act on Sept. 1, 2023. Texas student Darryl George had worn his hair in dreadlocks on top of his head until his school adopted a rule that said a male student’s hair could not be below his eyebrows or ear lobes when let down.”

So, a Black student wears dreadlocks to school, is reprimanded that his hair has to comply with school policy, which “previously had a rule that hair could be longer, but it had to be tied up, which George complied with.” Yet they still suspended him.

Since, “George, an 18-year-old student at Barbers Hill High School, has been on in-school suspension for months because of the length of his hair.”

Because of this foolishness, “Rep.
