Of course, oil is vital to any economy and for a nation’s population to have energy, but science and engineers have found better and more cheaper ways to produce energy.

The problem with the US is it is controlled by covetous oil capitalist who want to conserve traditional oil production and to build their profits year after year; charging citizens extreme amounts for utilities and gasoline. They resist all forms of new energy such as solar and wind to the point of labeling renewable energy as a hoax.

While other countries build into the future, the US remains stagnant in energy production, infrastructure, and upgraded living standards. China, for example, has advanced to a solar thermal energy plant that produces “1.8 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity each year.”

“Instead of using solar panels, this new plant uses its thousands of mirrors — each reflecting up to 94% of the light that hits them — to focus a huge amount of sunlight onto the relatively small area of the towers. According to CGTN, the Guazhou towers will be part of a complex of several clean energy plants, including wind, solar, and thermal, Interesting Engineering reports.”

“These methods of generating energy aren’t just efficient and affordable; they also avoid polluting the air with toxic and heat-trapping chemicals. The complex will prevent about 1.7 million tons of carbon pollution, Interesting Engineering reports. This is in support of the Chinese government’s stated goal to construct 1,200 gigawatts of less polluting energy capacity by 2030.”

Currently under global oil production, “the world produces approximately 4 billion metric tonnes of oil annually.”

This advancement under China being followed by other countries will place the US behind energy production and further damage domestic infrastructure and pollute the air, water, and farmland. Conservatism actually means to advance as slowly as possible instead of taking risk and chances.

People, especially voters, should think twice and look toward the future of this country instead of falling for the culture wars being pushed by the wealthy to distract from what really matters. The cost of living could be so much lower if this country switched over to a much cheaper form of energy production.

Drill baby drill is not an energy policy that has the best interest of this country at hand. To avoid more power plant black outs and oil spills that pollute the oceans, the US must look for and support a politician who understands energy production and has the future in mind.

The oil barons of the United States recruit puppet politicians to maintain a strategic hold on oil production.
