Community Organizations Are the Building Blocks of Change

Grassroots community groups do as much as is within their power to bring about change. They organize foot campaigns from house to house and hold community meetings in local facilities to allow suggestions and opinions from neighbors.

These groups then appeal to city councils and representatives, state legislation and authorities with well-organized documentation and signatures that show their sincerity in making some change.

The problem is that many times they lack the power and money to make a solid impression on local authorities. Higher authorities consider these organizations request but not enough to pass the laws needed for change.

With more signatures and participation at meetings, and the proper fundraising techniques, most community groups can make a difference. They have to be dedicated to the cause and the cause must be one that warrants change immediately.

We should all applaud the community groups that stick to their agendas and eventually bring about change. They are the foundation of society and the authentic voice of the people.

If there is a community group in your neighborhood that attempting to make change or has made a positive change for the residents, please research their agenda, join and help bring positive change to the community.

The making of a great nation begins at the grassroots with the people as the seed.
