Questions People Ask about God
    • Why are there so many hypocrites in the church?

Like in any field where vegetation grows naturally, there will always be weeds. Not all Christians are hypocrites, only some; and those are they who are planted by the enemy. Then there are those Christians who started as sincere but fall by the wayside after certain trials and tribulations. According to St. Matthew 13:3-9, unfortunately, only 1 in 4 Christians are actually true believers because many are taken captive by the cares and things of the world.

    • Won't a good moral life get a person to heaven?

The Bible explains that everyone must be born again of water and of the Spirit. Being water baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost before they can enter the Kingdom of God. Many people have good morals but their pride prevents them from submitting their lives to God. Likewise, there are some people who are dreadfully evil yet have a moment of repentance and become born again. It all depends on a person's willingness to submit to God.

    • What about people who have never even heard the name of Jesus?

It is God's mission to spread the Word around the world. He has been doing it for over 2000 years since the death of Jesus Christ. Different cultures and countries know the Lord and have been visited by God over many generations. No one may never actually know if every living soul has heard of Jesus just as we may never know if everyone has heard of the iPhone. But there is a good chance they have.

    • How can a loving God send people to Hell?

Hell is a place originally prepared for the devil and his angels after they rebelled against God's heavenly host. Those who are destined for Hell are those who were or are willing agents of the devil. From the beginning, God has given all people free will and to know the difference between good and evil. What the person chooses is up to the person. Many people know they are wrong and continue to do wrong because they are getting something of a reward in return. Some people do not care if they go to Hell so it is not actually God who sends them there. However, God gives people chances over and over until the day of their death.

    • Will not God accept those of other religions who are sincere?

God speaks to different cultures in different traditions, laws and languages. Most major religions know of the birth of Jesus Christ and have it documented as fact. Nevertheless, there have always been other gods of other cultures and God has always visited the people with the truth, and it is always up to the people of that culture to believe or not.

    • Why do bad things happen to good people?

Like the rain that falls from the sky, we all get wet if we are outside. Circumstances are a law of nature because all humanity lives for the same reasons; for food, water, shelter, for family and for many other similar reasons. There are good days and bad days within the search for those things so all people experience different circumstances, whether good or bad. How we handle those circumstances usually determine what other consequences come our way because there is always a reason for everything.

    • Why does God allow the innocent to suffer?

God does not allow the innocent to suffer, man allows the innocent to suffer. Man has the ability to determine who is innocent and who is not but man's judgment is often clouded with many evil things, such as money, power, privilege, race, religion, culture, gender and other. Justification by God is a mystery and a wonder and who knows what things God has done for those who have suffered at man's evil.

    • Why does God allow miscarriages, spontaneous abortions and still births?

A miscarrying womb is an ancient phenomenon usually given to women that God has deemed either untimely or undeserving. Sometimes it is not in God's time or will the baby is born and other times God takes the baby from the women if He knows she cannot do right by the baby, for whatever reason. It is not necessarily punishment, but simply ill-timed. Life of a child is God's choice, not the woman's.

    • Why did God create evil?

"For thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created." Revelation 4:11. God admits to creating evil and good, the crooked and the straight, the light and the darkness, throughout the Bible. And He often rebukes those who question why. The most obvious reason all things are as they are is so God can prove to all that he exist.
