The US Has Sided with Gog and Magog; the Enemies of God

Most theologians and students of the Bible know that Gog and Magog are prophesied to be the nations that fight against God and the camp of the saints in the battle of Armageddon. The question is who is Gog and Magog and what nations do they represent.

Revelation 20: 8 says, “and shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.”

Gog is the son of Joel, who is chief prince of the tribes of Meshech and Tubal in the land of Magog, 1 Chronicles 5:4. Magog is a descendant of Japheth who are of the Gentile nations. “The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras…By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands; every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations.” Genesis 10:2,5.

Gentile nations did not serve the God of Israel, instead they worshipped idols and mythical gods and gods of stone that did not live. God had always considered them enemies although He would use them to punish the Children of Israel when they went astray. God told the nations of Gog and Magog that He would bring them against the land of Israel in the last days.

“After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them. Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.” Ezekiel 38:8, 9.

God is telling Gog and Magog that He will bring forth their armies to war against Israel, which is the final battle of good versus evil at the battle of Armageddon. Many biblical scholars of US Christianity have tied the nations of Russia, China and middle eastern countries of belonging to the armies of Gog and Magog because they see them as communist nations that do not worship Jesus as the Massiah, and as being godless nations. This belief is only partly true.

The gentile nations have long rejected Christ or the god of Israel as their God and worshipped gods such as Buddha, Allah, and Brahma, the Hindu god. But with the sacrifice of His son Jesus Christ, God offered the world, all gentile nations salvation if they wanted it. Thus, Christianity has spread across the globe.

So, in their theories of end times prophesy, US theologians and scholars have concluded that any nation that does not align with the belief of Christianity and Jesus as their Massiah, are potentially godless and qualifies as being apart of the Gog and Magog nations. The spiritual aspect of the battle of Armageddon is that any nation that follows after Satan in the end will be gathered together to end religion all together in their attack on God and the camp of the saints and the land of Israel.

The people of the world may have Jesus in their hearts, but the leaders of the nations will ultimately make the decision to enter the battle. As stated in Revelation, “And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, and shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.” Rev. 20:7, 8.

Politically speaking, the US now has a president that has sided with the very nation all other US presidents have disavowed as belonging to the Gog and Magog nation of communist, godless people. Russia has always been an enemy of the US for this very reason. But the current president has official and politically sided with Russia, which now technically, places the US inside the many nations that will attack the camp.

The fact that Christian leaders have stood behind and supported this president says a lot about their faith and dedication to Jesus and their mission as Christians. They have known and prophesied of this for as long as they have been in existence yet have done a 180 in support of their new president king. This is not a good thing for this country in the eyes of God.

They need to either withdraw their support for this man and repent and turn back to God, or they need to prepare for the judgment of God on this nation as a nation that has turned its back on Him. The irony is astounding and the suspense is unbearable. What will the Evangelical leaders do now that they are in the crossfire of the Most High God who stands with the Children of Israel.
