Unlocking the Biblical Mystery Between the U.S., Christianity and Israel
Christian evangelicals want the blessings that come with the promises of God to Israel, but they do not want the curses that comes with God’s promise when Israel does wrong...
Carnel knowledge reveals that the United State’s support for Israel, financial and spiritual, comes from the idea that if they stand behind Israel in everything, they will be blessed by God for doing so. This logic comes from a passage of scripture that says, “And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee:” Genesis 12:3.
The words were aimed at Abram when God promised him a new land and a great nation when God adopted the seed of Abraham - the children of Israel - as His own. Once they reached the new land, God made a covenant with them that would last forever; that He would take care of them and punished anyone who came against Israel. But there was a catch. They had obeyed Him and keep His commandments.
“And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:” Deuteronomy 28:13.
Somehow though, western thought seeped into Bible interpretation to the point that the European West have taken it upon themselves to carry out God’s will for Israel. Today, the United States and the Christian population within it goes to extraordinary lengths to stand behind Israel regardless of what they are doing, good or evil, whether they are the head or the tail, unfortunately, even during times when they are not obeying the commandments of the Lord.
This takeover began when Rome was occupying Israel during the birth of Jesus. It was a time that Israel was not obeying the Lord and they went into captivity to the gentile nation, which was the Roman Empire. The Romans, however, sided with the Jewish people and their religious leaders when they rejected Jesus as their king and Massiah and nailed him to the Roman crucifix.
Ironically, the Romans saw the power of the prophet and His followers and envied the relationship they had with God and His covenant with Israel, even to the point they created a religion surrounding the theology of the Virgin birth. Afterward, they roamed the earth in the name of this new religion called Catholicism and spread the word of Christianity throughout the world.
They decreed and pursued the takeover of other lands based on the promise of God to Abram when He told them he would make them a great nation and give them the land of their enemies. For some reason, the West took it upon themselves to adopt the same promise from God that He gave to Israel. Eventually, they blended European blood with Jewish blood and created a race of people they called Jews.
Overtime in history, this obsession with integrating into a new chosen people, Europeans, Catholicism, and then the United States, decided they were going to build a new Jerusalem specifically for the new breed of Jews in the land of Israel; the land God promised Israel from the Old covenant, so they took it upon themselves to establish a new Jewish state in 1948. Since then, the people who actually occupied the land, the Palestinians, have been slowly pushed out.
Furthermore, the West has neglected to accept the fact that when Israel does not keep the commandments of the Lord, He punished them also, and not just reward them for obeying. The following verse expands of this threat to Israel from God in Ezekiel chapter 36 which reads:
“Son of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they defiled it by their own way and by their doings: their way was before me as the uncleanness of a removed woman. Wherefore I poured my fury upon them for the blood that they had shed upon the land, and for their idols wherewith they had polluted it: and I scattered them among the heathen, and they were dispersed through the countries: according to their way and according to their doings I judged them.” Verses 17-19.
In addition, the West have neglected to acknowledge the New Testament, which includes the punishment God imposed on Israel because of their rebellion and rejection of Jesus their Massiah. Jesus says: “And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.” Luke 21:24.
Christian evangelicals want the blessings that come with the promises of God to Israel, but they do not want the curses that comes with God’s promise when Israel does wrong, which is why they have convinced the US government to continually support Israel regardless of their actions. One such curse comes in Deuteronomy 28:44, which reads: “He shall lend to thee, and thou shalt not lend to him: he shall be the head, and thou shalt be the tail.”
Though the covenant is forever between God and Israel, it is not without correction. The west has embedded themselves into a spiritual time warp that they will eventually come to reap the fruits, but not the blessings. They have lied to themselves and to the world by inserting themselves into the covenants between God and Israel on a false basis. This too, has a negative recompence.
Revelation says: “I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.” Revelation 2:9; and “Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.” Revelation 3:9.
