Religion is Not the Cause of Wars, Man’s Lust for Money and Power Is
There is no doubt that the last ten wars have been about money, resources, and power other than who is worshiping right and who is worshiping wrong. Man does not operate on those psychological levels any longer.
Religious skeptics and atheist point to Old Testament scriptures to pull out examples of God instructing Israel to slaughter other nations, including their women and children, and unwittingly claim that all wars are therefore based on religion because of Man’s belief in God. This is a lie, and would be easy to conclude without understanding as to the reason for God’s command.
Many times God called for war against nations that were driving evil throughout the world. Israel was a representation of God and His cause for good to spread and to eliminate those who practiced evil, and all generations that came from them. However, this is not the reason men today fight wars around the world.
Since the eradication of Old Testament laws and ordinances, God has brought the world to a new and better Testament than the Old, which demands peace and elimination of evil through acceptance of righteousness, love, and truth on an individual bases, not on a national one. Nevertheless, many men have rejected this New Covenant and continue to dominate the world through lust for money and violence of military force.
There is no doubt that the last ten wars - whether international or domestic among countries, have been about money, resources, and power other than who is worshiping right and who is worshiping wrong. Man does not operate on those psychological levels any longer. They operate on greed and the need for power. Like street gangs from the corner block, nations take territory through force and violence, not based on principle.
They commit acts of genocide on weaker nations, innocent countries, and lands that have no way to defend themselves. They manipulate and deceive others out of their resources using threats of inhalation, secret covert military operations, assassinations of world leaders, and years of propaganda. They lie, cheat and steal and leave entire nations deprived of food and clean water, farm lands, and access to world wealth.
Unfortunately, liars have blamed God and the faith of man for why many countries are suffering, poor, and unable to maintain longevity and mortality in life. They search for biblical scripture to justify their lies completely misunderstanding the purpose of God’s reasoning for allowing wars in the first place, which was to eradicate evil and generations of rebellious people from the earth.
So why are there still evil people on earth? Because man refuses to acknowledge God, yet God kept His promise to never override man’s own will. He has allowed man to live his life anyway he wants to. Throughout the Old Testament, God revealed to humanity all the evils of men’s hearts giving clear examples of many evil deeds done by men.
From adultery, to murder, human sacrifice, slavery, baby killings, down to eating dead animals, incest, and masturbation, the Old Testament was a true, recorded demonstration of what men are capable of doing to themselves and to one another, and still do. No deed was ever condoned or instructed by God that did not necessitate the eradication of evil from among men, or to expose the evil deeds of men, and none of those deeds went unpunished by God.
From the beginning of time, God left four principles of life that man to this day cannot refute, deny, nor change with any intellectual amount of data, historical facts, philosophical logic, clever inventions, psychological theories or doublespeak, which are life, death, good and evil. No man can live forever or escape death; and all men are forever bound by and must live with good and evil.
