Giving everyone in the country guns is an idiotic move on the part of lawmakers. Disguised as a constitutional right and protecting themselves against the falsified data of high crime, the public has literally been recruited by politicians to shoot people, so they do not have to. The “good guy with a gun” ideal is reckless and irresponsible and simply lazy lawmaking. Not to mention a slap in the face of professional law enforcement officers.
This ideology is more egoism than good public policy because it is contrived by macho-type, trigger happy, overeducated, sophisticated street thugs insecure about their manhood and paranoid about people of a different skin color, and filled with cable news propaganda. It is also a stain on the moral fabric of the country by turning neighbors against neighbors in some wild west, action-packed Hollywood reality show.
They talk about criminals having access to guns illegally yet have stopped short of addressing that issue altogether, by not stopping gunrunners and thugs cold using gun enforcement agencies. Apparently, the DOJ, FBI, CIA, and ATF cannot handle the underground gun markets (they have covertly created), so now they look to the public to do it for them. Hell, they cannot even control the police.
This is sad and an abject failure of politicians and government agencies. So instead of training better for the job or actually sitting down and thinking about how to deter criminals and implement gun control, they have deputized novice people to become judge, jury, and executioners for the nation. This is a blatant admission to their incompetence.
Now the country has mass shootings, random acts of violence between neighbors, and killings by young and old individuals for no reason other than walking up to someone’s door, playing loud music, or cutting someone off in traffic. And this is perfectly ok with the leaders of this country, as the country becomes a byword of shame in the world.
This is not 1950. Minorities have guns too.
“But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.” 2 Timothy 3:13.
