Here we have a close to 80-year-old man who mentally possess all the qualities of a modern-day Archie Bunker, the television bigot living in a chaotic world of racial animosity and separatism; who cannot recognize that his own mortal insecurities are a developmental deficiency. He fights unsuccessfully against a world that is changing and growing around him leaving him a relic of an ugly American past.
The attempt by humanity to turn back time is and will always be unsuccessful because time moves forward metaphysically, whether we like it or not. People grow and learn to adapt to intellectual and emotional progression as we discover better and easier ways to do things and make our lives more comfortable and worthwhile. We uncover higher, more divine levels of coping with the world and environment around us.
People evolve on a spiritual and metaphysical bases to match the conditioning of the Universe and revelations of divine growth. We learn more about the human anatomy, the human mind and the connection between and among one another almost to a level of mental telepathy and parapsychology. We can predict people’s shopping habits through data and past experience and can diagnose physical and mental health issues by the way people grew up and interact. We have grown in many ways as a species.
Another example on the surface is, during the late sixties and early seventies, street gangs would identify themselves by wearing jackets with the same colors, names, and logos; but if we were to see a group of young men walking through the mall dressed alike, we would simply laugh and point, wondering if there is some kind of mental collapse going on among them. The culture has changed.
If we were to leave our doors open at night, or allow our kids to come and go whenever they want during the day, like it was in the 60s and 70s, we would be putting our families in jeopardy and much danger. But as times change and society moves through periods of growth, we learn to adapt to the times. No longer is trust among society that strong any longer. We move on for the better or worse. Trends and fads change and people’s minds change with them, many times for the better.
When we look at old photos of people throwing rocks and cursing at young children attempting to integrate a school, we shake our heads and wonder why so much animosity and anger and we pity the little girl for simply trying to get an education. Though society has moved on from this outward show of social hate and foolishness, the resistance is the same but has changed to more organized ways. Social growth is slow and camouflaged, but advancements are being made toward more tolerance.
But no, this man, and many like him, in his throwback mindset and desire to bring back the old days, is throwing a wrench into a more mature, developing society that does not have the same mental capacity to see things the same ways as he did in the nineteen fifties. This is called the old hateful grandpa syndrome. He has reintroduced this damaged mindset to a younger generation who did not live that experience but have nonetheless matured through nature and human intellect, leaving them more confused than ever.
They can see the vision but only in pictures; their mental state is not totally beholden to this anger because they see no reason for it, so they naively copy the behavior but lack the hate it needs to make it work. Another more recent example of a failure in turning back time, are corporate CEOs who are in need of a power trip to bring people back to the office after the public had a taste of working from home for years. This is also an ineffective attempt to turn back time yet, the relic CEOs are finding out it will not be an easy task to make people change the habits they have become accustomed to. It is a transgression in the progress of time.
People have discovered work-life balance and refuse to go back to an age of psychological and emotional oppression and stress. They have found that life can be lived and enjoyed along with earning a living. The mental gymnastics it will take for people to readjusts is exhausting in itself. People have found ways to mix and mingle creativity, work, and family time and refuse to go back but would rather find another work from home job before they go back into office buildings and long commutes.
There is another wannabe time traveler wreaking havoc in society today who believes that the Third Reich still has a chance at being born again, as if the world desires to return to a most horrible time in history. This person is devoid of any intellectual growth or human maturation but gains his power trips in threats of violence, hate, and social control through propaganda. This mentality is not good for a growing society and will be rejected outright. For those who do follow after this foolishness, they will learn the hard way that intolerance for this inhumanity will suffer a great backlash, even a violent one, to avoid repeating the chaos.
The United States has relapsed and will soon find out that the world is not ready to go back in time, but more importantly, they will learn that it is basically impossible to do so, on a metaphysical level. The lack of knowledge concerning these simple phenomena will be interesting to watch as these men fall prey to a reality that will not be kind to their insecurities, but will instead, expose and demolish them.
