The video of the beating of Robert Brooks by NY correctional officers testifies to a brutal truth of US law enforcement and their treatment of Black men, and many people in general. But this is not just about the brutality or victimization of a Black man, this is about the inhumanity within the souls of white men. Encompassed in that inhumanity lies a much deeper and disturbing truth; people like this are mentally troubled. Here are the top 5 reasons people act like this:
- Mob mentality – what is troubling is that this was not one or two close friends who shared a boy’s night on the town, this was over a dozen people of the same mind who thought it acceptable to viciously beat another human being, which means this mindset is more widespread than the public have been led to believe and not just a “one-bad-apple,” scenario.
For centuries, white people have gathered together to see the murder of a Black person either by hanging, beating, or shooting. This is not a sign that Black people are weak or submissive, this is a sign that white people are barbaric and merciless toward other people’s right to life. This is why they insist on hiding their history from their children because they know it is their shame on display; however, they take joy in and continue with this tradition.
- Serial Killer Profile – like a child who sets a kitten on fire, this mentality is described as psychopathological and suggestive of the beginnings of a serial killer. These men apparently do not value the right to life for human beings who they deem burdensome in their own eyes. They have no fear of consequences nor regard for the family of their victim or his social standing in the world.
Many of these men suffer from low self esteem but project their frailty onto people who cannot defend themselves, like handcuffed Black men, Black women who are alone, and sometimes defenseless Black children. They further suffer from anger problems, quick tempers and have no sense of self control so they lash out in violence.
- They Expect no Accountability – under the current climate of US rule of law, police officers are basically given immunity after killing people and given the benefit of the doubt on the bases they are so-called crime fighters and place their lives at risk everyday protecting the public. But the man they killed was already imprisoned and posed no threat to the public. So, they simply had no reason to do what they did and deserve no immunity.
They did it because they know they can get away with it or suffer a lessor punishment in the long run. They will take full advantage of the court system by prolonging, appealing, and asking for mercy from the judge based on their white privilege. This is an age-old good ole boy club that has protected whites from the full retribution of the law, and thrown the book at Black faces.
- Culture of Hate – for centuries, whites have been given a pass on killing Black people and this case is no exception. These type crimes against other humans are in fact crimes against humanity and should be prosecuted as such by a court higher than the US Supreme Court. Unfortunately, the Supreme Court fosters the same disregard for Black life as their law enforcement officers.
They ignore and refuse to take cases on the threats of white supremacy, terrorism, and hate crimes and just as well allow the murders to go forth. Closing an eye to this injustice is how they perpetuate hate against Blacks and further create loopholes for white murderers.
- Murderer in Chief Coming to the Presidency – this is nothing more than a preview of what racist white Americans are expecting from their murder leader. He himself has a deep, disturbing psychological disdain for Black people and instills that hate into his followers; so, they are simply anticipating the opportunity to kill as many Blacks as possible and get away with it.
He promised white vigilantes and police officers’ immunity for killing Blacks if Blacks decide to protest against such police brutality, and he is willing to close an eye to white hate militias who do the same. Again, this behavior warrants the curses that have plagued this country over the years and continues to burn it down from its constitutional roots.
The results of this country’s hate and murderous mentality toward Blacks and other people of color has weighed heavy on their ability to grow and develop as a nation and as human beings. They remain stuck in a vacuum of violence as their country slowly declines because of their egregious crimes, indifference toward the right to life for others, and their barbaric behavior. Their population continues to fall and their viciousness has gotten worse as demonic forces takes control over their hearts and minds. This country is not only cursed, but the hate, like a rabid dog, will eventually begin to eat away at its own.
