Are You In The Herd, Or In The Fold?
We have been taught since kindergarten to walk with the herd. Being herded like cattle along the roads of what we call life.
We have been taught since kindergarten to walk with the herd. Being herded like cattle along the roads of what we call life. Go to school, get an education, get a job, get married, have kids, take trips, have fun, live long and die. But on this road we are brainwashed to believe these things make a good life.
As long as we walk in the herd, we will have herd problems. The gospel of Jesus Christ teaches you to leave the herd and walk in the fold. In the fold of God life is much, much different. God teaches you that you can have all the things of the world but you don’t have to follow the herd to get them.
The knowledge of God is greater than any education from the world. No degree can surpass the knowledge and wisdom of God. A job is a job, but working for the Lord brings peace and self-reward that no job can give. Getting a mate from the Lord secures your family and rearing of your children so nothing in this life can take it away.
Open your eyes and heart and learn the ways of the fold. “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” (2 Corinthians 4:3,4).
You must understand that the life of the world bring problems of the world: debt, broken families, hatred, jealousy, poverty, sickness, and in the end, misery and loneliness. But in the fold, you can have peace of mind, financial security, good health, strong relationships, love for others and joy in your hearts. But you must believe in these things to have them.
Romans chapter 8 reads:
5. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
6. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
God teaches those of the fold to depend on Him, not on the world. Create your own job or business, educate yourself in God and go to school to learn for the purpose of starting your own business. Help others by teaching them to overcome the world and leave the herd.
Grow your own food, eat only what is good for you. Find pleasure in helping others not from alcohol, drugs, or sex. Dance and sing to the Lord, not the devil. Travel the world bringing the word of God, not to consume upon your lust and your pride. Follow after peace, righteousness, and love.
Ephesians chapter 4 reads:
22. That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts.
23. And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
24. And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
Allow God to transform your mind from the traditions and brainwashing of the world and give yourself to learning the knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ. “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;” (Titus 3:5).
