When Christian leaders devoted themselves to the 45th president under the assumption that God placed him as president in 2016, they drew the attention of God and God implemented a plan that would make the crooked places straight here in the US. He visited this country in one of many unexpected night watches that He does every so often. He came in an hour they were not expecting Him.
Since then, He has exposed the false preachers and doctrines along with the hypocrisy of the value system of the Evangelical church. He has exposed American Christianity as an apostate religion not based on the true teachings of Jesus the Christ, but after the hearts and minds of self-righteous men who hold the truth in unrighteousness and worship money and power more than God.
God’s plan unfolded perfectly over the last 8 years as He allowed the wolf to enter in and gather together all those whose heart was not right and pure. The purpose of this infiltration was to weed out all the false believers and teachers and filter out the chaff from the wheat. Once the false believers were all together, God singled out the leader and committed to expose his true character.
“No man can enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.” Mark 3:27. Now we are looking at a spoiled house of believers who have been led astray for years under a false foundation of Christian doctrine, a false Jesus, and leadership that distorted the Word of God for their own benefit.
There is a perfect illustration of this plan of God in the book of 2 Kings 10:19-28, which begins, “Now therefore call unto me all the prophets of Baal, all his servants, and all his priests; let none be wanting: for I have a great sacrifice to do to Baal; whosoever shall be wanting, he shall not live. But Jehu did it in subtilty, to the intent that he might destroy the worshippers of Baal.” Verse 19.
After the eminent fall of their Baal idol, there will be many people, Christians in particular, seeking refuge and searching for relevance seeing they will have damaged their reputation almost beyond repair. In this state of humility, they will need special attention. God’s divine plan of exposing the foundation of false Christianity worked, yet He always has a follow up plan and an army He chooses to seek after and heal the lost sheep.
Those He choose are trained in mercy and not harsh in judgment, but as Jesus said, “be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.” Matthew 10:16. Being wise in regaining the faith of those who have been led astray takes forgiveness powered by the joy over those who repent and return to the Lord. We should be happy and not turn this opportunity into a cloak of maliciousness.
We must remember that not us, but something brought them from the darkness back toward the light. We must stand at the edge of the light and lead them carefully back into the fold. They know they went astray so there is no need for us to remind them of that. We must be harmless, blameless, and not foolish in this work for the Lord.
Many pastors, believers, and possibly non-believers will look to the longsuffering of believers who endured the fight and stood with the Lord the whole time. They will look to learn how we endured and what power we held to that kept us from falling. Love is the empowering force that keeps a believer tied to the Lord. Hate will only fester and grow in the soul if it has a chance.
