The United States is being judged and will be judged on keeping God’s divine laws of nature for humanity. They unapologetically claim to be a Christian nation but are in true transgression of God’s will toward humanity and in their relationship with God.

If obeying God’s laws under the Ten Commandments is their objective and placed in schools and court rooms, Jesus said, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” Matthew 22:37-40.

The first of these is to love and simply acknowledge God by taking Him and His laws seriously. If a person or collective nation cannot do this, they are already in defiance of God. To love God is to fear and respect His laws. The second and following law is to love thy neighbor as thyself. Which means people and nations should love those around them regardless of who they are, enemies or not. Hate and prejudice has no place in God’s law.

Neither law has been kept by the professors of the Christian nationalist movement claiming control over the United States. They are persecuting their neighbors and own citizens under the laws of man that contradict the laws of God. Laws such as being in the United States legal or illegally. Being here illegally is a misdemeanor based on court proceedings and the legalization process and does not rise to a transgression against God’s law.

Unfortunately, theologians and Christian nationalist politicians have pushed a theory from Romans 13 and 1 Peter 2:13, 14 that calls for people to submit to “every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.”

United States authorities have placed these passages above God’s law of treating people civilly to justify cruelty and persecution of innocent people who deviant from their laws. They do not actually love them, they hate them. Jesus said, “This people honoureth me with their lips, But their heart is far from me. Howbeit in vain do they worship me, Teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men.” Mark 7:6, 8.

Peter faced this situation against the Roman soldiers and religious leaders of his day when they tried to force him to stop speaking about the gospel of Jesus, and he told them that he will obey the commandments of God rather than the traditions and laws of men in Acts 5:29, which reads, “Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.”

There are many laws written by men allowed in society that directly contradict the laws of God, such as divorce, allowing adultery without retribution, murder in wars and state death penalties, idolatry of certain people such as the wealthy and celebrities, and prioritizing pleasures of this life above worshipping God. Loving life itself more than God is a transgression toward God. Excusing bad behavior because it is “your job,” does not excuse a person from facing the penalties of God.

The United States have been judged for years because they refuse to obey God’s laws and have placed their own laws above His. All nations will be judged on how they treated the unfortunate. In Matthew 15 the scripture reads, “Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: for I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.” Verses 41-43.

According to man’s laws, the poor and needy are punished and pushed aside by rich men and governments. Many are imprisoned in the US for menial crimes and forced into corporate slavery, which is a law on man’s books; the 13th amendment. Strangers and immigrants are currently being rounded up, deported, murdered, and tortured here and abroad. The homeless are persecuted and imprisoned as people struggle to afford the basics of life.

This country is being judged harshly by God and will be condemned in the future at His coming when He judges the nations. The United States should repent of their transgressions now and in the past that are against God before there is no more nation. Lord have mercy.
