The next move by Black leaders in America must be to the United Nations. Not only are our Civil and Human Rights being slowly rolled back and violated, but we are being targeted by rogue police officers and racist vigilantes by gunpoint, and by public intimidation and humiliation. And increasingly, the courts are allowing these domestic terrorists to get away free with little to no punishment.
The prison system and corporations have intensified their brutality against Blacks using their 13th amendment rights under the United States Constitution; The public school system has drained funds from education in urban areas to supply suburban areas with the tax money of Black workers to coddle their white children, and the lawmakers of the country have turned their backs to individual and collective rights for Blacks to pacify a racist base of Trump supporters.
No longer can American leaders claim that the many racial hate crimes, systemic or individual, are random occurrences by bad policy, lone wolves and mentally ill people, but these are clearly systemic violations from every institution in the country. Even their racist white children are attacking Black children.
From the Supreme Court to the next-door neighbor, anti-Black policy, violence and racial hatred are making headlines every day in many ways. Court rulings have stripped Blacks of fair treatment in America’s universities and workplaces via elimination of equal access, protection against workplace discrimination, and especially police accountability in the courts.
The people who are supposed to protect other humans against vile treatment are the same ones erasing laws that protect those who are most vulnerable under those systems. Instead, lawmakers are rolling back decades long protections against racial mistreatment and inequality. Protections that are meant to bring racial consensus that ease tensions among citizens and afford every one the right to a decent life.
Instead, American citizens are blatantly killing their Black neighbors and strangers in their paths. Places of business are removing policies that encourage equality and are turning their heads to racist behavior against Blacks. Their employees are calling the police on Blacks for egregious reasons, while white citizens are profiling Blacks for existing in life. When caught, companies publish weak and insincere apologies wearing arrogant faces of indifference.
Black America’s only recourse now is to turn to lawyers to protect their civil and human rights against bigoted government laws and company policies; to sue government municipalities, workplace establishments, and individuals as a means of justice. But even this effort is beginning to fall short because of biased jurors, lawyers, rewritten laws and amendments, and establishments trying to protect their reputation. There are not enough Black lawyers to take on the many cases of rights violations in the country.
When the American justice system has turned its backs on a certain people, it is time to go to a higher authority that can bring a united front of the world against this inhumane behavior happening in the United States. This is what the United States does when they see a violation of human rights in other countries; now it is their turn to face the wrath of the world, and of God.
This country cannot preach human rights and Democracy to the world if there are no rights or Democracy in its own country. They cannot sanction China or Russia or North Korea for mistreating their citizens when the entire Black population in American faces injustice daily.
So as a message to Black leadership, draft a letter of request to another country or the United Nations to bring an investigation against the United States before our Civil Rights are turned back 100 years, or before Black Americans decide they have had enough and turn their anger into violence.
