It is infuriating to watch the courts and selfish lawmakers force policies on the public without consideration for any consequences it will produce. Since the overturning of Roe vs Wade, it is being suggested that birth control contraceptives are next to be banned.
But of course, without aforethought, politicians eager to exalt Christian values will recklessly criminalize the use of contraceptives and anyone associated with them, as they did with abortion. At least they should try and use their actual brains to figure out a more gradual way to wean the public off the decades-long customs, by using grace, forgiveness, and spiritual education, instead of prison and death penalties.
The banning of birth control will reach far beyond a woman taking birth control pills but will tap into corporate inventory of contraceptives such as pills, condoms, and other methods used, and eventually lead to a black market of such products.
Will the courts criminalize the corporations that produce birth control devices as they have threatened and persecuted doctors who participate in abortions? Will they shut down retail locations that sell condoms and doctor’s offices that write prescriptions? Will they pay brown shirt neighbors to snitch on their friends and family members to report birth control use?
Knowing the courts and the politicians who have empowered them, they will not consider either and simply imprison or even give the death penalty to those who are involved. Why are people criminalized instead of weaned from decades long practices of abortion and birth control?
It will also cause a problem that will overwhelm young families and produce a generation of children who will be forced into the work force to take care of their own needs, instead of the family unit prospering on its own. Maybe this is the plan of the wealthy; to birth children into the world so they can work their little asses off for men who ignore God’s will to fill their own bank accounts.
Why do they not show any concern for the effects of hundreds of thousands of new births and the parents who are raising these children? Even God gave provisions for the fatherless and widows, (Job 22:9, Psalm 146:9), but these profiteers show nothing but indifference toward new parents. This is the literal, biblical definition of religion, “Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction…” James 1:27.
However, these religious, power-hungry hypocrites are not concerned about the welfare of children and struggling single parents. There are no new laws or policies that help assist single mothers against the high cost of childcare or feeding children in low-income families, or for their healthcare and mental stability. This is nothing more than a power grab for religious organizations backed by wealthy lawmakers and political think tanks.
A History of Birth Control
The oldest form of birth control can be the sexual abstinence. But aside from it, the withdrawal effect can also be considered as one. It was also believed that Egyptian women have used suppository for their vaginas on old ages. The term for this type is pessary. This contains oil and other lubricants that will kill the sperm once the woman becomes involved in a sexual act.
- 1564: The first documented use of condoms as a means of preventing sexually transmitted infections (STIs) dates back to the writings of Italian anatomist Gabriele Falloppio. He described a linen sheath that was soaked in a chemical solution and then dried before use.
- Comstock Laws (1873): Named after Anthony Comstock, these were federal and state laws that criminalized the distribution of obscene literature and birth control information.
- Margaret Sanger (1916): Opened the first birth control clinic in the United States in Brooklyn, New York, which was shut down, and she was arrested. Sanger was a pivotal figure in the birth control movement.
- FDA Approval (1960): The first oral contraceptive pill, Enovid, was approved by the FDA for contraceptive use, marking a significant milestone in birth control history.
- Griswold v. Connecticut (1965): The Supreme Court ruled that married couples had the right to privacy in using contraceptives, effectively striking down a law that prohibited the use of birth control.
- Title X (1970): Established by the federal government to provide family planning services to those in need, a significant step in making birth control accessible to low-income families.
- Eisenstadt v. Baird (1972): The Supreme Court extended the right to use contraception to unmarried individuals.
All these laws will be turned backward toward the early 16th century without regard to the social climate of today. Though the bible encourages men and women to be fruitful and multiply, (Genesis 1:27, 28), there was a culture during those times that believed families and children were a blessing. Resources were not as scarce, sexual promiscuity was not an issue, and the greed of corporate profiteering was non-existent.
Today, the social atmosphere has changed, and a sexual revolution has spread throughout the world. But instead of meeting the challenge with new age science and practical, even biblical solutions, the courts and lawmakers would rather turn back time to an age that will most certainly conflict with today’s environment. Fools they are. Self-centered power-hungry thugs of modern-day fascism.
